Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of Valuo (valuo.tech). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Draft placeholder — pending legal review. This is a reasonable starting template for a stock-analysis SaaS, not final legal advice. It has not been reviewed by a licensed attorney. Have qualified counsel review and adapt it — including jurisdiction, legal entity name, and consumer-protection requirements — before relying on it.
1. Not financial advice
Valuo is an educational and informational tool, not a licensed investment advisor. Scores, intrinsic-value estimates, “buy zones,” margin-of-safety figures, and recommendations are calculated outputs of publicly documented investing frameworks (Warren Buffett's DCF, Peter Lynch's PEGY, Benjamin Graham's formulas, and Phil Town's Rule #1), applied mechanically to historical and current financial data. They are not personalized recommendations, do not account for your individual financial situation, and should not be treated as a substitute for advice from a licensed financial advisor, broker, or tax professional. Past performance of any framework, stock, or the platform itself does not guarantee future results. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions.
2. Data sources & accuracy
Market prices, financial statements, and company fundamentals displayed on Valuo are sourced from Financial Modeling Prep (FMP), a third-party data provider. Prices may be delayed by up to 15 minutes and are provided “as is.” We do not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this third-party data, and we are not liable for errors, omissions, or delays in it or in the calculations derived from it.
3. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
4. Subscription plans & billing
Valuo currently offers the following plans:
- Free — limited analyses per month, Buffett framework only.
- Pay-Per-Stock — a one-time, per-ticker charge that grants permanent access to that stock's full analysis across all frameworks.
- Pro — a recurring monthly or annual subscription with expanded analysis limits, watchlists, and alerts.
- Additional plans may be introduced or changed over time; current pricing is always shown on our Pricing page.
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected) through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Pay-Per-Stock purchases are one-time charges, not subscriptions. See our Refund Policy for details on refunds and cancellations.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract data from Valuo outside of normal, individual use.
- Circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or access controls.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any third party's rights.
- Share a paid account's credentials to circumvent per-seat or per-tier limits.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service's infrastructure or security.
6. Intellectual property
Valuo's branding, UI, and the specific presentation and combination of analysis outputs are our property. The underlying investing frameworks (DCF, PEGY, Graham Number, Rule #1) are publicly documented methods and are not proprietary to Valuo. Underlying market data is licensed from Financial Modeling Prep and subject to their terms.
7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valuo and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any investment losses, arising from your use of — or reliance on — the service.
Placeholder — needs review: the exact scope of this limitation-of-liability clause (including any liability cap tied to amounts paid) should be reviewed by counsel for enforceability in your target jurisdictions.
8. Termination
You may stop using Valuo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or pose a security risk, with or without notice where reasonably necessary.
9. Governing law
Placeholder — needs review: [Governing law and jurisdiction — e.g., “the laws of the State of Delaware, USA” — to be finalized by counsel once the operating entity and target markets are confirmed.]
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the app. Continued use of Valuo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
